Dog Equipment Catalogs?
Dog Equipment Catalogs?
Could anyone recommend either a good website that has a ton of gun dog equipment or maybe a free catalog that I could order? I know cabelas and basspro have some dog stuff in it, but I guess I'm looking for a company that specializes in dog stuff. I like looking through catalogs and try to get a feel for what I should be looking for in quality equipment.
Thanks for any help.

i have order from Lion Country on several occasions
Re: Dog Equipment Catalogs?
as mentioned above lion country is probably the best all around bird hunting catalog you can get. many other websites you can go to, i like gundog supply, they ship fast and have reasonable prices.
Re: Dog Equipment Catalogs?
i really cant think of the last time I actually went to the store for the dog for anything other than the butcher when he has something to sell me cheap...between better online prices & selection and no sales tax, shipping costs just aren't an issue...and who has the time for that on the weekends anyway..

Re: Dog Equipment Catalogs?
Lion country supply is hard to beat on price or service. I was once in the area and did not realize the store was closed
on Mondays (order taking and shipping personal were working) I called and got directions and drove there.
When I arrived the door was locked, before I could leave someone let me in I ask why the door was locked and they
told me they were closed. I told him I had called and the guy had not told me they were closed. His reply was" that was
me, and you said you were from out of town and I did not want you miss getting to come in and see the store".
That's great service in my book.

Lion Country Supply goes above and beyond to help customers, I try to order everything I can from them. They go out of their way to be helpful, i do the same to order from them.

There's a bunch of them.
Dresslers
Dogs Unlimited
Dogs Afield
Jeffers
Rocksteady
Lion Country Supply
Ugly Dog
Wilson Dunn's
Nitelight
There are some suppliers that have a particular product or group of products that I prefer over any of the others I have tried so I go back to them when I need one of those.

Ditto on these three. I also like Ugly Dog a lot, good quality stuff, nice customer service, and a catalog with a sense of humor. I really enjoy that catalog, there are lots of funny things snuck in there.SubMariner wrote:Ditto on Gundog Supply & Lion Country. We also pick up odds n sods on the people side from Cabella.

Lion Country Supply has a bigger variety of esquipment than anywhere else I have looked.
If you think you can or if you think you can't, you are right either way
Re: Dog Equipment Catalogs?
I have used the following companies with great results:
Lion Country Supply
Gun Dog Supply
Gundogsonline.com
I also get Ugly Dog catalogues but have never bought anything from them.

Gun Dog Supply is my favorite.
Steve Snell is a avid bird hunter who uses the equipment he sells. Steve knows how to get the most out of the stuff you buy from him.
You can talk to him most of the time except when he is in the field "testing " equipment.
