Discount Ammo Sites

Post by Greg Jennings » Wed Mar 30, 2005 8:54 am

All,

I used to have a place that I ordered target shells from at a good price. It's not out there anymore and I can't find anything that has what I want (20 ga 1oz 8's Win AA) at a reasonable price (~$80-$85 a case).

Anyone know of anything?

Best,

Greg,
I know this sounds outrageous, but check your local Wal-mart. Ours has 20 gauge 1oz #8 for 4.95 per box. I'm not sure if there is something special about the shell your actually looking for, but by your description ours had them last I looked. I think $49.50 per case is a bargin myself................Give me more info if there is any and I'll check further................."pear"

Hi Pear,

I've already bought out the local Wal-Mart. I can keep checking.

The price difference that you're seeing is because I'm talking about a 20 box "case" and you're talking about a 10 box "flat". The "case" is pretty much a virtual thing just for pricing these days.

$4.95 is a good price. I've seen them on sale at times for $3.99. When I find them for that, I usually buy all they will let me have.

If I can't find them, I'll just have to break out the MEC 9000G.

Greg,
Do you order your reloading supplies from anyone online or through a retailer by you? We reload our shells as well and are always looking for good prices on supplies. :D

Online Ammo Sites

I have used many and found the best to be www.cheaperthandirt.com. I have them ship my ammo to where I am going to hunt so I don't have to carry so much in the RV. I would not want to have to justify all the shot I have in the vehicle between .45 ACP, 9MM, 12 GA and 20 GA. Even with shipping it is less expensive than Wal-Mart. BANG BANG
Vizsla...is where you want to be.
