Hi Roger,

If you're going, rub my Gunner's ears for me, please? He'll be there with Ronnie, for the LSGSPC trial afterward.

Greg, I’ll be sure to check in on Gunner for you. I saw Ronnie a few weeks ago and he was getting around pretty well in the gator, but was still too tender to ride. I’m glad to hear he’s back up to speed again. Best of luck to you guys this year!

Hey Rob, We’re really excited that you guys are making the trip down this year and staying through the LSGSPC trial. Having BDK down will really add to the competition and besides, someone needs to knock Messer off. He’s had a lock on the Bodden the past couple of years and the clubs tired of him taking of him taking all our dough. I was hoping Dennis might show up too, but haven’t gotten confirmation of that so far. It should be a great trial provided the weather is good. I look forward to seeing you guys soon. :D

Anyone else coming?

Thank you, Roger. I appreciate it. I talked to Bev and she said Ronnie slowed down a little, but kept right on going. With his son now working with him, perhaps he'll have more opportunity to heal.

Best, Greg J.

Rodger,
I do not believe Dennis will be there, I know he kicked it around a bit though.

You think there will be any horses down there to borrow or rent? that is only about 2 hours from me, my old horse kicked the bucket and now I am walking again.

Cooper, you should go on either www.ngspa.org or www.birddogposse.org. On the NGSPA site, click on the Quail Championship on the home page and you will find the contact information for the trial secy, Will Barbee, and also the contact information for Ronnie Sale. I would contact Ronnie and ask him, he is a very nice guy. On the Bird Dog Posse site, click on GSP Championship Circuit and look up the trial, you will find Will Barbee's information there as well.

AC, I've emailed Will regarding rent horses, but no word yet. Looks like I'll need one myself.

John, I posted Will's contact info at the start of this thread and Ronnie's is in the newsest link posted this morning. One stop shopping here.

Are you and/or Spot coming down?

I just noticed that Rodger. Good thinking.

The Region 12 starts on the 22d, and to make the conflict even worse, the R12 starts with the ASD, so the open stakes start about the 24th, and the Quail starts with the All Age, also on the 24th. Eldon is good friends with Bill Rowekamp, who is the Chairman of the 12, and runs quite a few dogs for Keith and Bobbi that are sired by Bill's Spekk dog, so Eldon is down in AZ right now, getting ready for that event. Short of it. No, we are going to be at the 12, although Eldon really wishes the two did not conflict. He would very much like to go to the Quail.

Good luck. Hope Hud does well.

The new year is off and running.

Cooper right now I've still got a hunt booked that weekend so I probably won't attend, but if I do I'll probably bring at least three or four horses and you're welcome to ride one for a day. CR

Seems Dance is starting to mount a strong comeback after being injured awhile back. Glad to see it! That's a big win for the Gerdes's and they deservie it. Congrats to Andy and Debbie as well as David Vogelsang, all fellow Lone Start GSP members. Way to go guys!! :D

Also a big congrats to Mr. Wasserman and Cofelts on their All Age Wins. I heard both Cutter and Buck put on quite a show.

Sorry I wasn't around this past weekend to see it for myself, as I was hunting bobs in the panhandle. Hope to be there this weekend though.

Tim

Is that very good derby with Keith and RobbI? Hope he does well. J R and Pete are both broke and going to the futurity at Boonville in March. Both are great looking and the development is moving ahead at a right nice pace.

Talked to Robbi this morning, there are 14 dogs in the derby classic, I was on the road to work, so could not write down all the bracings. I know that they were in the 1st brace w/Sassy, 3rd w/Tank then I think the 6thw/Slick (who is out of our Buck dog and a female out of our Kessie) and I think 7th w/Sonny (I think that was who she said). Should finish it all today. I will post the outcome when I get it.

Also winners of the Open Shooting Dog:
Hank Jr. w/Ronnie Sale winner
Lady w/ Ray Doshe was runner up

Congrats to all!! Good luck in the derby classic, I will keep you posted

Jerry good luck at Booneville, we will be at the Reg. V and All Breed we are hoping!

Derby results from Robbi:

1st Opal h/James Messer
2nd Sassy h/Robbi Gulledge
3rd Hank h/Ray Doshe

Guess the big stake next is the Bodden followed by the regular Lone Star weekend trial.
Congrats to all the winners in all the stakes at the Quail. Maybe will see some of you all down the road at Reg. V and the All Breed.

Not off the top of my head. I'll see if I can get them from Robbi. Might look at the running order of the lone star trial and see if they are entered there also. I know Sassy will be, just don't remember what Mark named her. If I find them I'll post or PM them to you John. I'll work on it.

John Opal's registered name is MSR's Opalescence.

Jerry~ Tim's Sonny dog had an awesome race for me in the DC but had no birds (if the darn judges had given us 10 more seconds he slammed on point, I went down to him and the bird flushed when I walked in. Good for that but bad time had been called.) Sonny is a very nice young dog with alot of great potential in there for the future. We're going to send him down to Booneville for Pat to run then have Rich get him back to us to run at the Region 5 derby classic then will be breaking time for him.
