Do you nominate your field litters for the futurity?
If the answer is NOT, why NOT?
GSPCA or the NGSPA
Each one, both or none of them.

The only litters I nominate are the one's that I'm planning to keep a trial prospect or two out of. So far the only puppies I'm raising that are getting trialed in AKC or NGSPA are the one's I keep so other than feeding the pot it doesnt' make much sense to do otherwise. If I don't think a pup from a given litter is likely to be run in the futurity it would just be like sending in my entry fees to trials I'm planning on not attending or running dogs in.
I have a couple of breedings coming up soon though that definitely will be as well as a couple on the ground now. CR

Well Ted with the quality pups that LB is throwing I'd be suggesting it to you if you hadn't mentioned it. The litter we're having out of Moose and Blaze this week will definitely be one I'll nominate as well.
Had I been trialing when I first got her I think she'd have made an extremely nice gun dog/shooting dog. As it is she'll just keep being a really nice hard going hunting dog for us to run from the truck and a pretty darn good duck dog as well! CR

We have nominated most all of our litters for the GSPCA and when we sell them to owners we know will do both, we do the NGSPA as well. I had often thought what are the chances that this will actually pay off... well I can tell you it only takes ONE to convince you that it is worth it. When Wildfeather's Face the Music won, it was a litter we produced (right be CR bought Cleo from us
) and it was definately worth taking the chance on! I have also been able to introduce some new prospects by telling them this pup will be futurity nominated and explaining what goes with it! Soyou never know you might not produce the winner, but you might gain some new people to the sport as well.
We have a litter due in mid Oct that will be nominated (a Magnum X Kate female bred to Cutter) the first breeding of them is nominated for next years futurity! And our Kessie X Buck male will be nominated as well.
