I know I didnt make it out there today but im going to try tomorrow. I do know we had clear skys and it did get a little warm as the day went on. The early braces had great weather, Tuesday is suppose to be just as nice, Wednesday looks a bitt cooler with a high of 48 and a chance of rain with snow come Thursday. Either way its gonna be in the 40's and 50's so its going to be real nice for the dogs running.

I'll let you know more after tomorrow if I can get out there.

Wow! Thirteen GSP's and three Vizsla in the second series. I suppose all of the other breeds are entered in the non-retrieving.

Bitty

Post by Hotpepper » Fri Apr 06, 2007 10:08 am

To Ray, Dave, Kate and Erbe, congratulations for sure. I have seen and judged all of in the past 6 months. Been braced with Bitty and Ginger in Georgia in January and with Walker's other dog Mouse at Atlanta.

Kate and Super Sioux are always Kansas buddies.

Talked to Steve and he was most complimentary of the stake.

They are still running the Non-Retrieving, I talked to Dennis briefly yesterday and he thought they should be done by Thursday. They do update the AKC site everyday though.

From the AKC site:

...General Interest...

The last brace was to break away first thing this morning (Thurs 12-April)

...and my personal interest...

Sounds like Dixon might get a piece of it with Marley

-------------

Brace 31: NFC/DC Backwoods Sure Shot's Marley (Dixon) - FC Le Grande Tank Du Fayette (Gorrow)
They broke away at the Old Fish Camp. Both went left, Marley returned promptly. Tank returned with a bird. Marley scored a nice find at 6. Marley pointed again at 18 but no birds were seen. Marley successfully pointed woodcock at 20. Marley's third find came at 24 just before Area 9. This was a pretty find on a covey of quail. He notched another good quail find at 32 on the hill top. Marley scored his fifth find in the grove on the left. His sixth find was also of high quality and came at 45 in the draw that meets the west pine row. One of Marley's sweeping moves brought him to his seventh find at 48. It was, like the first six, all in order. Marley ran a strong but kind handling race.
