Stormy and Sis pup at one year

Post by DonF » Tue Apr 27, 2021 3:27 pm

Turned out my son couldn't keep his pup where he was living so I have him back here for now. Got him started on birds last month, 13 mos old. And here he is yesterday. This guy is gonna make a bird dog!

Wow. What a great picture. Definitely a bird dog. :)

Except for the colour he could be an "English" setter.
Where did he come from? I want one.

He's out of my Stormy and my Sis. Stormy s out of Craig O'Briens , Red Delicious Breeley. Craig is on here now and them. He lost her last year to old age. She was Region 10 2011 Shooting Dog Of the Year. His sire is a dog from Tacoma owned by Fran Seagren. Her and her husband, Scott, are mostly hunter's. I picked up Sis in St Cloud, Minn from Iron fire Kennels. Owner retired sand turned the kennel over to their son and he moved it to Vail, Colorado. This is the American Field version of the Irish Setter.

Beautiful pup, Don!

I'm a pointer guy but seeing a dark red setter with that level of style and intensity gets me to thinking.....

As always Don a beautiful red dog. I am not surprised that Stormy threw a pup like that.
