Sadie wins the Derby at 4 Lakes GSP in Portage

Post by Crl » Wed Sep 13, 2006 9:13 am

My little girl has won her 4th Derby this year by winning at 4 lakes GSP in Portage WI. It was a nice trial (except for the rain on Sunday). She is now headed to Brewster NE for the Region 17 and then Cheyenne WY for the Region 8 and then the Hungarian Championship. After that she is headed to Eureka for the Futurity. She has been trained and handled by Matt Eder of Fox Run Kennels. Matt and I handed her over to Dennis Brath from Cadens Kennels in Portage so that he could run her in Eureka. I am going to miss her as she will be gone until November.

Does that mean that Dennis is going to be at the 8 and the Hun? That would be great. I will be at the Hun, probably not the 8. I was at the 8 last year.

John,

Dennis is at Region 17 right now. He'll run the Chicken then leave for Cheyenne; he'll be at both the Hun and Region 8 (he's judging in one of them).

Clark,

Congrats on Sadie, sorry I didn't see you before I left. Do you remember the other derby placements?

Later,
Dave

Congrats!

Clark, was that you that I talked to about the Ford Super Duty trucks?

Was the weather Saturday glorius for trialing or what?

Best,

Dave, thanks, now that you mention it I remember seeing his name down as a judge for the Reg. 8 ASD. Was not thinking of him in terms of the Hun though, the pros who came last year to judge the 8 just left after the 8 was over.

Dave are you going to be there or just Dennis? The airfares to DEN are dirt cheap from here, under $200.

John,

I'm going to Montana the last week of the month, so that knocks out any chance for Wyoming. I don't believe any of the clients are going; too close to nationals to be burning vacation.

Congratulations! I missed that brace because I didn't feel like riding in the rain anymore than I had too. Matt does a nice job with his dogs. I would recommend him to anyone no matter what breed they had.

Good luck in Eureka!!!

Dave,

Here is what I can recall.

Arrow a Brit handled by Matt Eder got 2nd and I think Slider took third. I don't recall who took 4th.

Best,
Greg,

Yea that was me. Saturday was perfect. Sunday was a drag with the rain. Non-stop the whole day. It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope to see you again in the near future.

Mark Johnson took 3rd in the Derby with his vizsla, Dan, I am pretty sure that they had Slider at 4th.
