new brag

Post by snips » Sat Feb 25, 2006 8:01 pm

Fritz won another Open Limited GD today in Cedartown handled by Ray Dohse. It was a 4 pt win. We were comin home from the QI in Fla. Not much to report there, my Logan took a 3rd in the first round, but I was prouder of Codys first 2 runs. Did not place but made real respectable runs against good dogs. I still don`t know the finals..

Brenda,
sounds like fun! PM me you time schedule/plans and I'll see what I can do. :) I'd like to see what it's all about. Didn't get Chase entered, she's going through an "I don't really HAVE to listen - do I?" phase when birds might be around. Presently collar conditioning...

Well, he made it around clean and he had 3 finds, but I don`t think it was his best for sure. They were breeding him that week, but I don`t think that would bother him. Ray said it could have been from riding in the box the 2 hours before he ran the 3rd course. He did some marking, who knows. He has a trial at Cobbtown this weekend then the PDC in Va. He will come home after that, then he`ll run the NSTRA Trial of Champions in Apr. Should be interesting :P

brenda, the 3rd course is the tightest,I ran my max on it a few years back,I picked him up at around 42 I think,he had two finds and a back, but was not running big enough to get it done,he was running a nice gundog race, where it takes a shooting dog to win.
Most guys do not like the 3rd course, too tight.
Boonevlle is a very challenging course, against some of the very best gsp's out there, good luck at the gun dog championship.
