Region 9 Continental Dog of the Year
Need to give a "shout out" to Doug Favor's HBV Dunfur's Plan B just was awarded the Region 9 Cont. Dog of the Year. Not sure of the exact stats,,,, but I think Doug has won that just about every year for the last 100 years.

Good job Doug!
Rich how could you forget about Brandy, Mike, and the others that have won it recently? Brandy is in a class of her own.

Re: Region 9 Continental Dog of the Year
Wow, that's cool man!! Hadn't heard but wondered if he mighta squeaked it out!! Hard to wrestle that plaque away from the Pennington and Rock Hard kennel crew here in Reg. 9!!
As long as we're braggin', huge brags, backslaps, high fives and thanks to my buds that helped me out with my hounds this spring while I was recovering from my glancing blow off the earth. Alex Bringhurst snagged Trixie on last minute notice to go and try to defend her previous years Utah FTA win at Howell Valley - made a great showing and brought home some hardware with her again! While doing that he somehow managed to dig deep into the recesses of Scoot's brain to retrieve to the forefront the Dunfur Kennel training he'd received last summer. He had him standing steady to flush/shot on sharpies and huns by the time I was up and about again! Rich Heaton snagged Scoots then, worked him on huns, quail and blue grouse then put him on the podium at a Boise Valley PDC derby qualifier stake with a broke find to boot to get him qualified for future championships now! Meanwhile, I couldn't bear to have Bugsy sitting idle while I felt sorry for myself so sent him up to Dan Hoke who apparently takes this bird dog stuff serious. He ran him around the Northwest All Age AKC trials to rack up three 1st's, two 2nd's and a 3rd. Holy schmolies - well done to Team Dunfur! These guys'r good bird dog guys...and better friends!! Might have to bust myself up more often!!
Proud to have Rocky, Stitch, Trixie and Bugsy on the plaque though alongside some darn nice Reg. 9 conti's!
Da Bugs standing some sharps:

Did Idaho's Lucky Lady win the Reg. 9 Shooting Dog of the Year?? Again??

Cripes I've never won it...always break on the flush to take myself out...too much prey drive!!I think Doug has won that just about every year for the last 100 years.

Hey Doug,
You're pretty good at braggin .... once you get started .... congratulations! Da Bugs needs a couple more collars added to help strech that neck out like the tribal women in Africa. The white tuft of hair at the end of that western-cut stubtail styles up nicely!

Re: Region 9 Continental Dog of the Year
Nah, he probably earned a few points but just not too many dogs in the AA stakes in these parts - I think the ones he won probably had one dog in the stake...Is his FC finished now?
Been back in the saddle Robby for awhile riding my old, steady ponies! I rode Charlie Brown, the horse I tipped over on, for a couple hours today out in the hills - kept it real low key. I wanna be confident and in charge...but...I'm scared...

For the love of God,,,, Hitch up your skirt and go put some miles on that horse.DGFavor wrote:I wanna be confident and in charge...but...I'm scared... Just takin' it slow - not lookin' for trouble or challenge, just easy hours in the saddle confidence building

He is a fantastic dog to watch Doug. I hope we get a chance to run against each other again. Might be. I have a mode of transportation to get me out to your country lickety split now. Beam me up, Scotty.

Re: Region 9 Continental Dog of the Year
congratulations, Doug!
Yep it's always hard to get back into the saddle after a bad fall. Especially when you go to get on the same horse that you fell off of!
