No, it doesn't involve hunting dogs, but it is interesting since it involves tail docking, the AKC and a breed club. Might have ramifications for other AKC breed clubs. Read the comments as well.

9 Silky Terrier Club of America members filed a Code of Ethics complaint against top breeders for exhibiting undocked (natural tails) Silky Terriers.

The COE complaint charged Mark Benson, Maggie Keuser, and Lisa Thomas, all STCA members in good standing, with breeding, exhibiting and registering Silky Terriers with natural tails.

This Silky Terrier has a a natural (undocked) tailNotably, there is nothing in the Silky Terrier Breed Standard or Silky Terrier Club of America Code of Ethics that requires a member to dock tails, nor could tail docking be required per AKC rules...
