Al (Allan Reeves) Esgar (EZZY333), from Dixon IL, passed away on the 14th of April, he was 86 years old.

Al joined the Forum at its earliest, in August 2004. He served as one of the primary Forum Moderator during the majority of that time.

As a member of the Forum he was the most prolific "poster" to date - he shared his thoughts, knowledge, experience and support in over 16600 posts!

Here is a link to the Legacy website for his obituary:

You can post a tribute to him on the Legacy site (link above) and/or on the Jones Funeral Home site (see Admin post, following) for his family to read - they would no doubt love to hear from members of Gun Dog Forum, where Ezzy333 spent many hours of his day (and nights) communicating with those who love and enjoy bird dogs!

Thanks, fourseasons...

Al will be missed. O_o

Agree on leaving a note here for his family if you feel moved to do so:
https://www.thejonesfh.com/obituaries/Allan-Esgar/

USER STEVE007 posted "All who appreciated him should consider putting a post at the obituary board,
letting his family know that he was highly regarded and liked by those whom they will never meet.
Never hurts to have the kids and grandkids know that other adult people thought their dad was
a great guy who contributed greatly to others."

"bleep" I took off for a while and just got back on. This is a huge loss for the hunting dog community

Haven’t posted much lately, for some reason the site wouldn’t recognize my password but when I saw this thread I tried again and it worked.

I liked Ezzy thought he was very fair decent guy ( being a moderator is tough) and I am truly sorry to read he passed. I read his last few posts and it seemed he was suffering so I a glad he is in Heaven in peace.

I really hope our dogs are waiting for us when we pass.
