larue's blazing fire

Post by larue » Wed Sep 11, 2013 5:44 am

we had to end blazes pain,he had cancer in his jaw and it was time.Blaze was a max son,who was a fabulous wild bird dog.His one weakness was fur,he would kill any skunk or porky he found,We had plenty of vet visits to remove quills.I remember his first covey find out west,a covey of 100 or more birds and we killed 5 out of it,he had a blast. He would consistently point and hold wild turkeys here at the house.Blaze was 15 1/2 when we helped him but he will be missed. All my old dogs are gone now,but I do have a bitch who is tightly bred on max and blaze, she gets her first trip out west this year.Blaze would always bark when we crossed the Missouri river as he knew where we were going at that point. rest in peace buddy I will miss you .
