Final Greeting at the Gate – RIP my little black dog.

Post by Willie Hunter » Fri Dec 23, 2011 4:58 pm

When I got home from work on Monday night my dog Sara met me at the gate and I could tell she was not doing well. My wife met me and said that Sara has not been able to get up all day without help. After being home for about an hour I could see things were not good. Sara was laid to rest about 7:00 PM, just broke my heart.

Sorry to hear that.....

A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

"bleep" Willie. That is the worst thing that could happen to a dog owner. Have you got a photo of her?
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!

Don, Sara was the truck guard dog, she had a really bad attitude and didn’t like other people or other dogs; she was one that you had to keep an eye on at all times. I can tell you that the other dogs here are very happy that she is not around. I grew very fond of her over her 13 year life span. I never took any pictures of her.

Willie -

It is funny how even a borderline outlaw dog can worm their way into our hearts. Heck sometimes the ones that give us the most aggravation are the ones we miss the most. Sara had a job to do and a place in the family. Sounds like she both did her job and earned her place. Can't ask much more of a dog.

Ray this little dog was a true problem dog, but I really loved her to no end. Sara was out of a littler of 9 and all of them except Sara were put down in the first year. This was a breeding gone bad, Chow/Lab mix. The breeder was a clown and wouldn't return my money unless I returned the pup, I told him to get phucked. Sara lived a good life and I'm happy she was part of our family for 13 years.

The best and the worst still find a way into your heart. Sorry for your loss... What a world we would have if humans had the honesty and loyalty of dogs...
Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.
