Dr. Patrick M.Cooke 1953-2008 WEST STAFFORD, CT - Dr. Patrick Matthew Cooke, 55, of Old Springfield Road in West Stafford Connecticut died on November 27th, 2008 at Mercy Medical in Springfield Massachusetts. Patrick was born in North Bennington, Vermont on August 7th, 1953 to Deane and the late Patricia (Dailey) Cooke. Patrick was married to Helen Fernan. Patrick was a physician in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. His passion was raising and training his prized competition Vizsla's. His charming, energetic and charitable personality will be greatly missed by the countless people whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife Helen Fernan of W. Stafford, CT, his father Deane Cooke of Watervliet, NY, three brothers; Daniel Cooke of White Plains, NY, David Cooke of Denver, CO, and William Christopher Cooke of Sloansville, NY. He was predeceased by his mother Patricia and a sister, Margaret Mary Cooke. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church in North Bennington, VT on Monday December 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 W. Main Street Bennington, VT on Sunday November 30 from 4-7 PM when the family will be in attendance. Patrick was a wonderful man and his passing is a major loss to those who knew him. He was an ambassador for the sport of field trialing, a great competitor and a patron in his support of dog events in the Northeast.

Personally, I will miss the camaraderie I enjoyed when in his company.
