BDK's Fire N The Hole "Holly"~ 10/09/96~11/10/08

It is with a sad heart that I post this. Our great longtime friend and girl "Holly" BDK's Fire N The Hole was put down today. She had developed a large mass in her mammory glands on her belly and this morning was having difficulty breathing. Holly has been living south of KC @ our ranch owner Perry's house, getting to live in the house, sleep with his girls and have the run of the farm there. Last month Holly had a great month of hunting with Perry up north and had just started going down hill this month.

Holly is out of NC/NSDC/NASDC/FC/Regional/Species Champion Blue Max Spitfire V Grief x Carson's Dollie of Windsor (Dollie was out of Spitfires littermate FC Bluemax Salley Von Hoffman x NC/NSDC/FC BMK's Strike The Gold). Holly has sired FC/Regional/Species CH MRT's Bingo Buck, NSDC/FC BDK's War Emblem, FC BDK's Tobadforu, FC Flashy Ricky Ticky Rocknfire and probably others I'm forgetting.

Holly will be greatly missed here @ BDK & @ Perry & Nancy's in KC and especially when going hunting this winter. Holly was just 1 month and 1 day over just turning 12 yrs. old.

Robbi, sorry for your loss. I am just glad I had the opportunity to own a daughter of Holly and Hud. Holly's last breeding I think. If my Missy was anything like her momma, I am sure she was a pleasure to own also.

Sorry for the loss of Holly! She was such a pleasure to be around! Thanks for the great memories Holly girl. We are proud owners of your son Buck who is truely a product of great dogs! He acts just like you did! May you now rest in peace and have no suffering or pain.

Thanks all, it's greatly appreciated.

She'll definately be greatly missed here @ BDK. She lived her months right after we got her in the living quarters of the trailer sleeping with Keith & I and our old cocker spaniel "Nicki" and our old rottie "Bear". She was such a joy and gave all she had to her pups and to her hunting pretty much up until the last couple weeks. She'll never be forgotten with us that's for sure.

Keith did call our ranch owner (Perry whom she's been living with and hunting with) and he and his wife Nancy were with her when she was laid to rest yesterday. He also informed us that they found large masses in Holly's legs that were blocking off the flow of blood and also large masses in her lungs and other parts of her body so it is indeed a blessing that she is laid to rest and no longer suffering anymore that what she might of been.

She was happy, healthy up until the last few weeks. Enjoy your new painless and joyous life our Holly girl now you can run and romp and rejoin Nicki, Bear and LT and many others that have been in your life and ours. Till we meet again our good girl!!!

My deepest condolences Robbi. No matter how many "special" dogs we have, each of them have their own unique personality, quirks and attributes that we love and remember. I'm sure Holly left many fond remembrances with you.

Robbi, So sorry about Holly's passing. She sure left her mark though, with all the great pups she whelped over the years. What a real sweetheart and great mamma she was. You and Keith gave her a great life and loving home. Can't ask for much more than that. My condolences.
