Stinky

Post by Vizsla Vince » Thu Feb 07, 2008 4:40 pm

My good buddy "Stinky" crossed the Rainbow Bridge today.
He was a 14 year old Vizsla we rescued 11 years ago. Sadly, he was going blind by the time I got into hunting & never knew the pleasure of a live pheasant under his nose.
There was a song, by Wes Cunningham, which Stinky & I used to dance to, & whenever it came on & I wasn't home, he'd get up & look for me.
In his younger days, he was lightning fast! We used to go to the beach with him & he would go "bowling for seagulls"! I still can see him "clipping"my son on the beach & sending the poor kid head over heels!
He was my good buddy & I will miss him sorely.

R.I.P Stinky boy.....your Daddy loved you very much. That is very clear in these pictures.

May time be your friend and heal your heart. May all the wonderful memories that have been made these past 11 years with dear Stinky be your comfort during this difficult time of loss.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Solace

From the silence of your pain I heard my name
And on the wings of light I have come
To see the sadness in your eyes
That cry without tears.

Can you see me, I am here
I will always be near you
To calm your shattered heart
And to make you smile at the memories.

Do you feel me, pehaps a soft brush of fur
You ache to believe it's real
But you are afraid to hope
You brush away a strand of hair
But it was I, whispering....

I am only here for but a moment
The silver thread gently quivers
I will leave behind my love in a dream
When you awaken, and without really knowing why.

Your heart will know at last
That it is all right , for now
To say good-bye.

In Loving Memory -Stinky

So Sorry for your loss of a really good friend. May he rest in peace and your memories of him last a lifetime. Sounds like he was a very special dog.

Sorry about your loss of Stinky. There is never an easy time to have a friend pass. Just remember all the good times and joy he brought you and I'm sure you gave him too.

Hang in there.
