BRASS HARDWARE ON DOG COLLARS TURNS MY BRITTANY'S COAT GREEN. Bought one with supposed to be stainless steel hardware. IT TURNS MY DOGS COAT BLACK. Anyone have the same problem? Probably bought the collar at gundog supply. been a while.

I've used collars from Gun Dog Supply on my Brittanys for many years. Used collars with both brass or nickel plated hardware. Never had the problem you are describing. I'd contact Gun Dog Supply and see if they have ever seen this issue. Their customer service is usually quite good.

Could be they only time the dog gets washed is when she jumps in the cattle tank to cool off.
