Cabelas Gun Dog Ecollar

Post by HuntEastAdventures » Fri Mar 17, 2017 10:48 pm

Anyone have one? if so, how do you like it and how has it held up?

Wife bought me a new one, have had the old Sport Dog for years and was starting to show it. Still worked well but battery life was getting terrible.

Long story short, I was going to buy a Tritronics (garmin) but she bought me this as a gift so Im gonna use it for a while and see how I like it.

Anyone else have opinions?

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry I can't help as I didn't even know Cabelas was selling e-collars under their name. Anyone know who is making them? What's going to happen when Cabelas purchase by Bass Pro goes through?

It is through and has been for a while. I think the plan is to sell under both names.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

I believe that the Cabelas e-collars were made by Innotek but not sure about the newest ones from Cabelas as I don't think Innotek is making e-collars anymore. But I could be wrong. For what it's worth, the Innotek e-collars of years past were some of the worst collars on the market. Spend a little more and get a quality e-collar from Garmin/TriTronics, Dogtra or Sportdog.
