Scott Linden jaeger lead?

Post by SpinoneIllinois » Thu Nov 21, 2013 9:11 pm

I've been wanting a jaeger lead.

Anybody have any experience or thoughts on this one? http://scottlindenoutdoors.files.wordpr ... lander.jpg

Or what about this one? http://www.gundogsupply.com/mendota-8-- ... -lead.html

I got my jaeger lead from permatack and have been very happy with it. the material will resist rot, and and the fairly common occasion, that I leave it in the bed of my truck, or hung on the kennel there is no issue with mold or mildew. i have had mine for about 5yrs and other than a few puppy teeth marks it looks like new.

I have never tried any other brand of jaeger lead so I can not compare.

A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

I second the Permatack - all my leashes and checkcords come from them now - they have superior customer service, are family-owned, and will make you anything you want. Ask for Mary.

I have the Scott linden and love it. Works great when I have to keep the dog under control until we get to our hunting grounds(walking through private property). It's great to walk the dog with too and keep hands free. I just won another one off his Facebook so I can keep it in my truck. I like to use it when I let my dog ride in the front seat of the truck. I just drop it around the passenger seat and it keeps him from being able to get out, not that he tries, but it's a good safe guard.

Agree on the Permatack. When it comes to leashes and check cords, will buy nothing else.

Another vote for permatack. I have their lead, checkcord, and collars.
