I live about 25 miles south of Indianapolis and need an experienced NSTRA participant to coach me on how to get started in NSTRA field trials. I have a two year old GSP that is about ready to compete.
I'll be working her through the AKC hunt tests this year, and thought the NSTRA trials would be a lot of fun. Central Indiana looks to be a pretty good place to be for NSTRA competition, with trials being held every other weekend at four or five locations, all within 30 minutes to two hours of me.
If you live in the area and wouldn't mind spending an hour or so explaining the process over lunch, I'll buy. Please PM me with contact information, and I'll call or email.
I have studied the web sites and reviewed the rules, etc. Looking to talk about the actual practice, what to worry about, what not to worry about, etc.
Thanks,
Dave Tharp
