For the past several years, our club has paid judges $50/day if they used their own horses. Since I started judging, I have received anywhere from $50-100/day for bringing my own horsepower. IMO, the clubs should all be on the same page when it comes to reimbursing the judges for their expenses, so I am going to suggest that we raise the amount.
My questions are:
1. How much is your club paying judges for the use of their horses.
2. How much are other clubs paying you for the use of your horse.
3. What do you think is a fair amount?
Thank you,

Funny you should bring that up. When I was trialing here, the thing's that led to judge selection was if they had their own horse and a camper. They never got paid. Sometime's they got judges without one or the other, seldom both, and then they did provide some awful wrangler horse's and a motel room. William Brown deals with just this subject in his book.
