SoCalnstra.org trial

Post by oldbeek » Sun Feb 17, 2019 11:10 pm

March 9-10 dbl/dbl Is our next dbl/dbl trial. come out and enjoy working your dog off season. We just finished Feb 16-17 trial with chairman Bob Worrell doing a fantastic job. Weather made it a real trial with snow and 31 to 33 degree weather but we all endured and had a great time. Thank you to all that worked especially the judges. 8 hrs on a quad is a grueling job in wind snow and mud.

A dbl/dbl is 2 trials going on at the same time Field A and Field B on 2 consecutive days. 4 trials on 2 days. Some guys run 3 dogs. That is pretty busy, 6, 1/2 hr runs a day. In NSTRA you are usually walking as fast as you can for the full 1/2 hr.

Thanks for explanation. I have watched a NSTRA trail here in Washington that was ran as you described. I thought they were all ran with two fields.... anyway it was a fun event to watch and the trailers were having a good time.
