I heard FC/AFC Aims High Beetle Juice did, "very well with several finds and impeccable bird work." That's the most I've herd. Usually this is my favorite time of the year to be a gunfogforum member. All the shorthair peoe are usually connected one way or the other and interesting stories and updates are usually abundant, what gives!!! We know they are all half pointer so lets just get that out of the way ;)

National Amateur Championship:
Open to any amateur owned German Shorthaired Pointer six months of age or older that
has placed first in a three (3) point or greater Open Gun Dog, Amateur Gun Dog, or All Age
stake; first in a four (4) point or greater Open Gun Dog, Amateur Gun Dog, or All Age stake;
first or second in a five (5) point Open Gun Dog, Amateur Gun Dog, or All Age stake, or is
currently a Field Champion or Amateur Field Champion of record. When qualifying in an
Open Gun Dog or All Age stake the dog must have been amateur handled. Placements in
derby stakes will not qualify.
All placements must be obtained annually between the closing of the entries for the previous
German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America National Championship and the closing of the
entries for the current year’s German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America National
Championship.
Dog may be co-owned and if it is co-owned the co-owner must be an amateur also.
The owner and handler of each dog shall, in the opinion of the National Field Trial Executive
Committee, meet the definition of an Amateur Handlers for Pointing Breed Field Trials that is
contained in the AKC Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedures.
You would think the owners would read the premium. This was a problem last year; and also the last year we were back at Christian Hills Camp, which they did take away the Championship from dog and owner.

I assume you are talking about the BDK dog at the end? Maybe it was entered wrong and Robbi doesn't own/co-own it...

Some outstanding dogs made the second series. Any of these dogs can win it. I wish them the best of luck. I just wish, I was there. I will be going down this Sunday. To watch the AA and marshal the GD. If you have never been the GSPCA national championship, a person needs to go at least once. a

From what I understand that is the case, the dog is owned by Keith and Bobbi, the Gulledges do not co own.

I have not seen the first place dog run. But, I have seen the other three dogs run and they are all great dogs. So the first place dog has to be one fantastic dog and need to be congratulated on one fantastic job. Congratulations to all for a job well done. All are winners.

I have had the privilege of judging max 4 times, she is one heck of a nice bitch. Irene and cal are some of the nicest people you will meet.I remember one find she had at hokes trial, she was standing on a rock out crossing against the skyline on point for the 10 minutes it took for us to ride to her.Finds like that are why we do this sport.Grats to Irene and max way to go.

As of this past spring the dogs are solely owned by the Richardson's.
I had contact with Robbi and it was the confusion with this years info being copied from last years info still on the system. Simple update error.

Had fog delay this morning and started after lunch. They went through 15 braces the first 2 days. Don't where they are at end of day 3.

Heard there are 4 braces yet to run tomorrow.

Going to try to make the 1st brace to watch Charlie - FC Odyssey's Perfect Traveler run.

Hope we don't get the 2 - 4" of rain tonight they are calling for.

First off congrats to everyone and all wins and placements.....

Secondly, BIG congrats to my boy Rich and Miss Joyce Barber, really shows that there honest hard work is well deserved. Anytime you put Jade down she is capable of great things, and this just proves it. Could not be happier for you both, well deserved and hard worked win bud.

I just go back from judging the Mid American Britney Classic. I want to thank all those who congratulated me on Trey's win in OAA championship. I was there to see him run. When I got back to the trailer, I asked Keith if he had a beer handy. It was unbelievable race and I could think of nothing else to bring me down from an all time high. The race Trey was probably one his best and Keith was grinning from ear to ear. I watch all the dogs run and the top four were all good. I do know how many times I walked around that parking lot waiting for the call backs and then I was so nervous I could not even watch the retrieve. After that was over I was on pins and needles waiting for the results. Several people came up to me including James Messer and said that Trey had it won going away. I just would not believe it until they announced the results and that he had won. I want to thank Keith and Robbi Gulledge most of all. First for Robbi selling Trey me as pup and for Keith putting all that effort into him. Robbi did an unbelievable job scouting as usual. We had lost Trey for a while and it was Chis Goegan's scout Hank Lewis who found him on point and pointed him out to Robbi. I thanked Hank afterwards when I found out what he did.
