NBHA National Summer Meeting - Memphis/Grand Junction, TN

Post by PntrRookie » Mon May 13, 2013 8:53 am

It was another very good year for the National Bird Hunters Association in 2012-13. Despite some very tough spring weather requiring the delay or cancellation of several field trials, the NBHA again had an increase year over year in the number of dogs run in our trials.

Please join us in Memphis and Grand Junction, TN for our annual business meeting and to celebrate our National Dogs of the Year and Handlers of the Year. The weekend will be July 26-27 beginning Friday evening with a social hour and culminating Saturday night with the banquet at the Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction to honor our DOY and HOY winners as well as the newly elected honoree to the NBHA Hall of Fame which is part of the Bird Dog Museum display. The Saturday night event includes our spirited NBHA auction and drawing for wonderful equipment, stud fees, professional dog training donations, etc.

More details will be posted on the http://www.nbhadog.org website as we firm up details including auction items. We would love to have ALL of the walking field trialers who participated in NBHA trials across the country attend. If you cannot be there, we have a system in place to allow bidding for auction items or purchase of chances on the various drawings. It is a good time and will be held at the newly expanded Field Trial HOF building.

Thanks to everyone who ran in, judged, hosted, provided grounds, marshaled and otherwise supported NBHA trials during the 2012-13 season. Our very heartfelt thanks to Purina, Tri Tronics, Gun Dog Supply and Christie's Saddlery for their continued support of the NBHA on a national and local level.

All trialing depends upon the people involved coming to run their prized bird dogs in competition. Your NBHA national officers and State Directors appreciate our member clubs and chairpersons for doing the work to make your weekend trials a welcoming place for families to come and enjoy the outdoors with their favorite companions.

Thanks again for another successful year!
