Heart of America Gordon Setter Field Association - results

Post by dan v » Thu Nov 15, 2012 4:33 pm

The revival of the Heart of America Gordon Setter Field Association was held Monday following the GSCA NC&FT.

We held a Gordon only Shooting Dog Classic, 1 hour heat, and also offered a setter only Derby Classic. Both stakes had a number of quality dogs, 14 for the OSD and 14 for the Derby. Judges for both stakes were Keith & Robbi Gulledge.

2012 HAGSFA OSD Classic:

Winner: Chukarhill Buck Nekkid, owned/handled by Dan Voss
R-U: Shadowfax Fraser MacFarlane, owned by Lynne Barnett, handled by John Rabidou

Open Derby:

1st: Sonny (ES) owned/handled by Dr. Bill Wright
2nd: Sam (GS) owned by Anne Boyd, handled by Trena Cardwell
3rd: Woody (GS) owned by David Dunshee, handled by Mark Keegan

Thanks to Keith & Robbi for riding all day, seven 1 hour braces, during the Classic. Having done 7 myself, it's not a minor accomplishment.

I previously saw the announcement of this. Glad it went well. Congratulations on the win.

Looked sensible enough....a bit short strided on the front. She had somebody else ride her and offer ideas.

The word is both the GSCA NC&FT and the HAGSFA event will be at Eureka through 2014.

Dan ~ Congrats again you and Buck did a great job. Love the picture above of Buck pointing that Keegan took. Keith and I enjoyed ourselves and glad we could help you all out. I enjoyed judges marshaling the National as well for you all. Great bunch of folks and great hospitality and work crew!!! You all should be very proud.

Stay in touch and you and Becky have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
