Reg. 9 ASD and Idaho Open SD Ch's

Post by DGFavor » Wed Sep 26, 2012 1:09 pm

Some shots from our Region 9 Amateur SD Championship and the Idaho Open Shooting Dog Championship near American Falls, ID. last 5 days. Awesome country, mostly sharptails, half dozen or so coveys of huns, and handful of phez.

You sure they didn't have replacement judges and they screwed the whole thing up. Congrats Doug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always smile when you do well since Big Sugar or whatever his name was posted on here how poor you and your dogs are and thats why you stay out west where there aren't any good dogs.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Well we took an arse whoopin' in the Amateur!! Actually my wife handled Trixie in the Am. and did a nice job. Had a sweet find as we crested a ridge on about a half dozen sharpies and ran a steady hour. My wife's first hour Ch. stake she ever ran - how would that be to be handed the reins to a broke, veteran dog to just go run around clean and post a score your first time out?!! I had to figure out all the ways to lose before I ever remotely came close to winning one of these things!!

Graci' fellars!! Trixie has really been on her game this fall - been fun to handle and watch. :D

I shot all the pics in this thread with my Panny Lumix LX3 except for the winner's circle photos that I did with my Sony A700, 16-125mm G series lens. Shot all in RAW, processed in Adobe RAW Converter then Photoshop Elements Editor. I get a bit more noise with the LX3 than I do with my SLR but still decent photos with the trade off being it's easy to carry...I kind of like the grain/noise in some of the shots.
