Gateway GSP Club is pleased to be hosting a Walking Field Trial at Whetstone Creek Conservation Area February 3rd through February 5th, 2012. We look forward to another great event this year as last year this proved to be very nice grounds to showcase the dogs. For those of you who have dogs that are not aged out of Puppy (15 months) or Derby (24 months), we are still taking entries until 1/29/2012 for this trial and the juvenile stakes could use some entries. We'd love to see you there!

Thanks to those of you who have expressed interest in the juvenile stakes, I failed to mention that the age minimum is 6 months for AKC stakes.

Whetstone Creek is a great place to go and watch a trial, the grounds are walker friendly and you can also see a good portion of the course from the line. Lots of very friendly people and the cafe up the road serves some really good food.

Wish I could make it this year.

Thanks for the support and entries, this year we drew 70 entries. Three of the four Gundog stakes are majors, and we have a two point Open Derby and a one point Am. Derby. Oddly enough we did not draw any puppies this year, they seem to be a bit boom or bust . We will start with the Open Limited Gundog first thing Friday Morning. Looking forward to another great trial this year!

It was a nice trial, smoothly run due to the help of Peggy, Rich, Debbie and a ton of help from my family. This is becoming a very nice event on good grounds for the dogs, we hope to be able to keep it going for years to come!
