On Saturday, June 13, 2009 the English Setter Club is supporting the 1st Annual Field Dog Expo and Family Fun Day to benefit the New Jersey Quail Project (NJQP). NJQP is dedicated to the restoration of New Jersey’s Northern Bobwhite Quail population as well as providing suitable habitat for quail and other upland and early successional species such as woodcock and pheasant.
Admission to this wonderful is free and there will be lots of activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their dog and lawn chair to be part of the free dog seminars on training and pointing, the music and the great food that will be available.
Music is by Warm Hearted Country a family country-bluegrass band that has been performing at many top festivals and have a great following. Great barbecue including hamburgers, hot dogs and more (which is our fundraiser) prepared by none other than Ed Gerber of Tabernacle will be available.
In addition to the seminars and dog training seminars, there will be handmade craft vendors, jewelers, artists and dog item specialists. Among our many friends and supporters you will find just the “right” present for yourself and your dog.
Please stop by the NJQuailProject.org website for more information, photos and updates. We certainly hope to see you there on Saturday, June 13th. Start time is 9:00 am. [Rain Date June 14]

Did anyone else go?
It was great. Met a lot of nice people and awesome dogs. Leena had a wonderful time. The clubs facility, (500 acres?) is very nice.
