I'm guessing this has something to do with it:
Those are snowfall totals through 5am this morning.

OSD was cancelled & will be run in North Dakota this summer. Does anyone know how this will work? Redraw the stake? new entries? judges? I wish thet would of waited a day. The forecast for the weekend looked good in Booneville.

I live in Southeast KY and we are supposed to get hammered with snow tonight. I have the Red Setter Nationals tomorrow and sunday. Wonder if you can get snow shoes for a Tennessee Walking Horse?

Hank I am sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you. Will probably see you at the Pheasant again, or maybe Eureka. Good luck this year.

PS Hank, courses 2 and 3 were under water and unusable when I left on Wed. They finished the Am. on a modified course 1 which was a sort of figure 8 and more of a gun dog course than Shooting Dog. There are creek crossings on all the courses, including the modified course 1, and they were unsafe on Mon. and Tues. They would have been back up after 8 inches of snow, and there would have been more flooding on the course. That place got so much water in the last week, it will take a couple of weeks of good weather to dry it out. Time to cut losses and get out of there, I think.

Thanks for the update. Will you be at the All Breed? I will be coming in for the AA & ASD.

The dog yes, me no. I will probably go to the GPC, then possibly the Rocky Mtn., and will definitely go to the R9 in ID.

I received a report this morning that the heavy snow also knocked out all electricity at the site. This would have affected not only all the rigs that were there, most of which could probably survive for awhile on generator power, but also the headquarters building where all the meals are cooked and served. Ugh. Time to get out of Dodge.

If it had been just the Minnesota and Wisconsin folks....well, dang right they'd have kept going. But it them folks that have never see'd a snowflake got their panties in a bunch.
