AKC wants everyone participating in a field trial or hunt test to see the video, but it is just about impossible to get your hands on a copy.

That's what I'm saying. There are lots of gunners out there shooting who have never seen it. I've shot with them....

If someone can get it on the internet, problem solved.

AKC/Chapters needs to decide whether they want safe gunners or income from selling the video.

One lawsuit from a peppered handler would change the story right quick.

The AKC has its own site and should be able to host the video.

They either haven't thought of it or have some other reason for not doing so.

Is anyone in this forum AKC brass (or know someone who is) ?

It's a political organization so there will need to be focus groups, ROI studies, investigative sessions and hearings to get it done.

I doubt an email from a little ole' georgia boy will get it done.

I decided to contact the AKC and suggest that they put it on line.

Their response was:

"You can order a copy of the Gunning Video by contacting 877-252-2665."

I called them and it is $27.95 .

Figures....

The hosting club must have a copy of the video. It is the club's responsibility to ensure that ALL gunners have watched the video. Gunners don't get paid for gunning so the club should be doing all that they can to help these people out. (notice I said "people" and not guys. One of the BEST gunners that has ever gunned for me is a WOMAN!!)

Our club has a copy and we make sure that all gunners have watched it! It's part of the HT rules.

Yes, all respect to guns of both sexes..

Simply put, whether they are supposed to do it or not, some don't.

Putting it online makes it easier for everyone to do the right thing.
