Sat was a tough day for dogs. Only 8 of 18 Open Pointing runs even found all 3 of their birds and only 2 of the 7 Amateurs. Fastest 3 bird Open Pointing runs on Sat were 4 minutes (first run), 13 and 15 minutes. These are largely dogs that have won and placed National Tournaments, multiple time CH, etc. Flushers had 3 of 8 runs bag 3 birds. Scout had her three birds in both runs but I missed three shots costing us way too many points to place.
Sun was a little better, 12 of 26 Open Pointing runs found all three birds but still only 2 of 9 Amateurs. Fastest 3 bird Open Pointing runs were 3, 4, and 9 minutes. Flushers had 5 of 8 bag all three. Scout's first bird bumped as soon as she hit the milo it was in. She was working the second one but couldn't nail it down. Circled right into it and caught it as it came up underneath her. Handled the next one fine, relocating as it ran through the milo till it hit an edge. Ran out of time and didn't bother with her second run as we were out of contention and it was hot.

All good dogs and great people. Suvoyee's Britt Buddy is an amazing story. Retired after 4x Ch in NSTRA because of a ligament tear in his L rear leg, at our Jan trial snapped his front R leg runniing across the field. Back with a pin still in that elbow and still a bird finding machine!
