Do you need to be on horseback to watch a hunt test?

No, horse isn't needed for HT. You cannot follow braces of SH/MH if they are a continuous course(where they shoot on course)though, for safety issues. Most times they have a birdfield & you can follow braces SH/MH until reaching the birdfield, many times you can see from the edge what happens then in the birdfield. You can follow all JH braces.

You can follow continous courses at some events. I guess it depends on who is putting it on.
