new puppy

ok heres the thing she doing. when i take Kattie out for walks and in our training time she has her nose to the ground and moving like a mad thing, but here's the thing everthing i have read said this is what I don't wont her to do. Is this right if so how do i stop it and what is the right way to teach her to work. she still finds the brids and she is whoaing at least 85% of the time. So i think that doing good for not having a clue how or where to start her off. but my club has been a big help to us both. but i wont to know as much as i can from all side of it so any help in this matter would be great.
