Gun Dog Forum

Hello everyone, new to the forum! Getting a pointer pup, an english setter, in the near future and looking for trainer advice. Looking to send the pup off in the fall for training to hunt quail. Anyone recommended within a reasonable drive of Phoenix?! Thanks

You might give Guy Mollicone at Mollicone Kennels a try. He's located just north of Sun City West. I had him work with my Brittany a few years ago and he did a nice job. Guy and his wife were kind enough to hold my dog for a couple days before he (the dog) headed down to Texas for the winter. I was heading out of town on a trip and they generously said no problem. Good people and I know a trainer or two who would say the same. Haven’t personally worked with Guy, but from what I can tell from briefly visiting and being welcomed into their home, their and their client’s dogs are treated like family while being cared for.
