I always enjoy when folk share pics/videos. Thank you Mr. Higgins.
The gent in the second pic (with Brittany) is a trap/skeet shooter. High elbows do not serve you as well in the field. You see, the high elbows enhance focus/rule out impertinent info/competitors, etc. - peripheral "stuff" your brain has to process, specific to competition/clays. Furthermore, you don't have as large a swing spectrum because you have to get on that clay bird fast.
In the field, lower elbows provide pertinent info re a live bird because it has a constantly varied flight in a constantly varied environ/habitat/elevation. You also want to be aware of the periphery such as dog/hunting partners, etc. - things less likely to invade a trap competition. :D
