I'm looking into getting some field training for my pup. Hes a 20 month old Vizsla that has a bit of catching up to do. Can anyone recommend a trainer in Michigan? I'd almost rather send him away for a month or so to get a good foundation. But regardless I need some one-on-one advice from an experienced trainer. Thanks in advance. Take it easy.

Fred, not that it matters but what part of Michigan? Try Scott at http://www.crosswindkennel.com/index.htm or Bruce at http://www.hifivekennels.com/home.htm If you do not mind sending him away...may want to expand your search outside MI. These two are well know trainers with great results. Not familiar with any "local" guys since I am not from that area. I am sure both Scott and Bruce would have a lot of information/referrals for you.

Keep us posted...
