Pup pointed quail!

Well i just got this beautiful male english pointer pup on the 4th. He is 12weeks old now. well today we were out walking through the sage when he took off on a dead run into the wind about 50yds ahead of me. i was thinking what is he doing? well as i followed behind him i heard some quail chattering and thought i cant believe he smelled them. well as i walked up on him he was on point. my heart was racing, i got to the bush and out flushed quail. the covey scattered and he then picked up four in another bush he pointed. yesterday was the first time he had ever smelled quail before. i must say im quite proud! alright im done bragging!

Very nice! Any pictures of your pup? What are his lines?

nothing like a pups first point! Its a great feeling. enjoy your pup, he sounds like he'll be a good one!

Congrats...I think many of us remember our "first time" - Show some picts when you get a chance. Welcome!
