Hello,
I just stocked my pigeon coop with birds, and I haven't seen my pup since! Well, actually, if I look out at the coop, he's right there, guarding it. It has been 5 days, and he is starting to make the occasional journey to come into the house (on his own) for a nap. Any concerns of the pup being over exposed to the cooped birds? I've had them out for training with the pup, and I he is extremely birdy. Any thoughts?
Thank you,
I've lost my pointer!

It's been just about 4 years with mine definitely no loss of birdyness , and basically after a winter of free flying it's like he hates them even more.

That's funny! Don't worry - your pup is wired for birds!
I take my pup out for the long walk thru the woods to the Johnny House (otherwise he'll go into ballistic whining), He jumps at the quail on the upper screened perch and doesn't want to leave when I'm done feeding and watering them. It's has only driven him harder when hunting them. He also is learning that he won't get one in his mouth without my help, which is what it's all about.

Thanks for the reply!
Sure is fun to watch them go nutty over birds.
