I'm searching for a trainer

Post by SouthernGWP » Thu Apr 24, 2014 5:51 pm

I'm looking for a trainer in the Southeast that's relatively inexpensive. Don't want to pay $700 and $800 per dog. Can't swing that. Any suggestions?

For pointing dogs; Ray Dohse is a well respected and great trainer. He does all my dogs. Has a great re-pore with the dogs and they keep all their desire and style.

Since you have a GWP, I recommend someone who has experience with, and likes the breed. They are not GSP's with hair and they have different attitudes.
Maurice Lindley is one to consider, he had done well with some Wires. Brenda Roe has a GWP and would also be someone to think about.

Thanks so much for the advice. I have spoken with all three and am leaning towards Mr. Lindley. Please keep the advise coming though as this is my first time but I guarantee it won't be my last!! Also if anyone is interested I'll be breeding my pair again shortly. Let me know if you want more info. Thanks much.
