TT G3 Upland or Pro Series

Post by TM964x4 » Wed Jan 11, 2012 8:56 pm

Hello,
I currently am running the tt g3 Exp upland special. Ive had a few problems with it but i think they got it straightened out. My question was is the pro series better than the upland? I think my dog would respond better with more levels of continuous stim then the lo med and hi momentary and only hi continuous stim that the upland offers. At times is seems that the continuous stim level 1 can be a bit strong but i only have the option of a lower stim by momentary. What do you prefer for your pointers?

I have a pro 500 EXP. I never use the momentary stimulation, however. I think that the 100 is exactly the same as the 500, just without the momentary stimulation. So, if I were buying a new one, I would probably go with the 100.

Don't need the momentary button because I can do that with the finger.... Just tap the button. Go pro 100..

The Pro 100 has 18 continous and 6 momentary. So you do get some mometary otherwise they are basically the same.

Pro 100. As trouble free as a unit gets.

The nick button on the TT 100 and TT 90 model are not a nick, they are a long pre measure burn. The button should be done away with imo. Hold it in your hand and test the nick button on a 100 model. I like the 100 and use it daily training dogs. I use the continous buttons to nick the dogs. Tritronics has the best imo.

Maybe they changed it. I sure fussed enough about it to 1 of the engineers at TT. The 100 nick button is still a long burn on whatever level you have the dial set on

I like the upland or the 200, more nick is exactly what i need. I don't use the constant button much. I find personally i do better taping the nick button then i do tapping the constant, sticky finger? I dunno, just works for me. If i was training labs i might want more constant options, for birddogs nicks work for me.

I also use the pro 100 and press and hold or press and release for what I need when I need it and do not have toggle switches to get in my way
