training question

I recently purchased george hickox pointing dog traing dvd. Is this a good dvd to purchase to help train my GSP at 11 months? Also what collar would y'all suggest to get for training?

IMO it is one of the best. Hickox will recommend a DT SPT series trainer, and if you go with his system of training it will really help to have a DT collar. It has very low levels of stimulation that will make things better for you and the dog. Remember, a video can not give you every possible scenario when training a dog. There are several members on this board that are very familiar with his method and will be more than happy to help you along the way. If you can attend one of his schools, I strongly recommend it!!!
