Live birds near KC?

I'm looking to introduce live birds to my GSP pup and was wondering if there was a source near KC for birds. Ideally I'd like to start with quail/pigeons. Any thoughts?

Hey, I'm up in St. Joe and its easier to find a bird supplier on the Kansas side...MO has lots of rules (pain in the ...). Technically you need a permit to have any of them in MO but Kansas is more relaxed. I don't have a permit but as long as I don't get caught I don't think anyone will care. Let me know and I can get you a couple of numbers for you. Also, a wise man on this forum once told me that if your dog is going to hunt quail you might as well train with quail.

Good deal, I'm actually on the KS side. Quail would be great but I figured I'd go with whatever I could get my hands on. If you wouldn't mind, feel free to PM me those numbers...
