I can probably get you some from a pest control guy I know. I think it's $3.50 a bird. I don't have any in my coop to spare at the moment.
I will be heading down south to cabela's maybe on saturday so I could swing them by. I might be able to talk him down to $2.50-$3 a bird if you get a dozen or more. I will need atleast a day's notice.

I really only have room for 6 in my coop. So whatever you can get is great give me a call Jay Tucker (801)390-2403. I live in Layton so I can come & get them from you. Side note: That Cabela's store is awesome. I am a rookie hunter and that store is like a little slice of heaven.

I talked to my contact and he said that in about two weeks he will have some young ones ready to leave the nest. This will be the best because you will get them to home easier. They will pair up when they get older. The downside is you won't have any good flyers for awhile.
If you need something now I might be able to part with some older ones and I'll get some younger ones to replace them. The only downside to that is they won't home for a good couple of months. You will have to card them and sometimes they can get away.
If your starting a coup the young ones would be the best option.
I do have another number I can get you for cheap pheasants and maybe chuckar. He is out in the ogden or brigham city area. I don't know how old your dog is though. If he hasn't been around birds then I wouldn't go this route yet.

Is anyone else in this area getting low on birds and needs some? My contact can get lots of birds mixed old and young. If I can get anyone interested let me know. I'm supposed to get back with him in a week or two with an estimate of how many we need.
This is a great opportunity to get some reasonably priced birds. I can hold about fifty in my coup for storage until they can be picked up or delivered.
I personally want some old ones for shooting. I don't want to hammer any of mine because their not laying yet and are homing decent. Also to get some mature laying birds.

If you have some older ones I could get here in a couple of days that would be great, then when those others are ready I would take some of them also. My dog is 1-1/2 years, but I haven't been able to get him on any birds really yet. There is a field near our place where I am planning on running him I would probably just card them for now, I can't shoot  them where I am running him now. Thanks for the help.
