I wasn't sure we have a guy around here who raises some English Pointers that look similar. His kennel is called Blackrock Kennels and all his dogs have Blackrock breeding. He is a fine looking dog though. You should be proud.

pretty easy to tell its not and english pointer by the tail...

Sometimes you never know. I have a pedigreed English Setter a lot of people swear looks like a Brittany without the tail docked. I thought it was a GSP but with some of the European pointing breeds that I am not familiar with I did not want to antagonize anyone by making an assumption as to the breed. Sorry if I insulted anyone. He could have been a Braque d'Auvergne and as far as I could tell. In any event he is a fine looking dog.
