Those pics are about 1 mile from my house, sometimes it is nice to live in the boonies.

I have only seen or heard of them used when leash training (heeling etc..) I guess I have never seen one used when check cord training thats all. Have seen plenty use on occaision (including myself) a rope with the half hitch around the waist. Looks like it would work fine though, maybe something I will add to my bag of training equipment.

You boys better get them pups out to the Timpanogos trial this weekend and whip up on everybody!! Looks like fun - you're working sharpies and huns right!
Tom - I'm not sure the pinch collar will work the way it's supposed to if you take a half hitch around the waist. Not sure how it can still slide freely if the lead is snug around the waist...?? Does it work like that?I have only seen or heard of them used when leash training (heeling etc..) I guess I have never seen one used when check cord training thats all. No Doug, I was referring to using the half hitch by itself (no pinch collar). I do like the idea of the pinch collar as was explained. If you will be transferring to ecollar on the neck it makes sense. While were on the subject, what's your opinion on where to strap e-collar when going thru the steadying process (around the waist or neck) ? I've heard people state their case for both.DGFavor wrote:You boys better get them pups out to the Timpanogos trial this weekend and whip up on everybody!!
