I'm hoping I can get some advice on the use of a pinch collar, specifically when used with a whoa post.
1. Is it really necessary?
1a. Which brand/type is best/safest?
2. Does it shorten the training time?
I think I maybe already know the answers (no and yes) but would like some input from you folks with more experience than I - which is probably most of you I think.
Thanks!

I prefer the Rick Smith method of whoa post
no pinch collar
rope and half hitch
and dogs respond much better easier to understand for both handler and the dog
