Best places to put a pigeon trap out

Post by sigav8r » Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:26 am

So I know gas stations are a good location, however the ones by my house don't have lot of bird traffic (or they clean their sidewalks religiously). Just wondering what other areas people put their traps out and have success. Maybe I'll try those places. Thanks.

I have had luck on the tops of hotels and restaurants, they generally have external stair cases and flat roofs...and they hate pigeon poop

No trap needed go at night with a ladder and small net, usually you can grab by hand at night.

I know a guy that catches them at night with a cast net under bridges...
I have English Pointers because they don't ever grow up either...

I've had success in a retention pond w/ a concrete apron running through it. This drainage structure is near an overpass, so it helps. Basically, the concrete apron is holding some of the run off from, and during this drought, it's full of pigeons. It's also easy to get to, since it's next to a large parking lot (WalMart) and I don't have to dodge traffic.
