addie update (3)

Post by littleking » Sun May 07, 2006 6:57 pm

well the check cord is doing wonders, but still having problems OFF the check cord. especially with ak and come. Woah is working wonderfully off check cord. It's not that the commands are not working, when shes not on the check cord, i either have to repeat the command 4-5 times or i have to raise my voice (not scream or yell though). I've been working on my patience and its paying off well, just need to keep on keeping on if you know what i mean.

Addie also got her stitches taken out yesterday, so as a treat we went to the dog park and she got to get all muddy! unfortunately i did not have my camera as you would have been amused :) here are some pics that i took today though

Beautiful Brit! I'm getting mine next week
Your cat looks just like my oldest one, and she sleeps in the sink too, to get away from my younger cat

First, wow what great looking dogs. They are really incredible looking and thats comming from a fuzzy face lover

About your training question. I'm glad the cc is working well but if I read your post right she is not always listening off the cc. Then don't command anything with the cc off. If you take it off and she doesn't listen then she doesn't have the idea yet that every command needs to get followed when it is said regardless....
Take a step back and put the cc back on and demand perfection form her. It will benefit you both in the end.

Now remember don't be hard on that cutie just don't except a refusal of a command and by you saying things 4-5 times loudly that is a refusal.

Keep having fun and keep on sending pict.

Griff
