What is the prefered length of chain for a stake out? I need to get Avery ready for his Wessen test.
Thanks,
Steve

I make mine with cement stakes 36 inchers and about 30-36 inches of chain. I weld one nut towards the center and then put a piece of pipe on and then weld another nut on the top. I weld one link to the pipe in the center and attach a swivel clasp on the end of the chain.
You must have a swivel in there or the dog will twist the chain into knots.
One thing I have found too is.... put the nut lower than the end of the or top of the stake. This way you are not pounding your weld while pounding the stake in.
