Quail for a call back pen

Post by weim-owner » Tue Apr 22, 2008 10:28 am

I am currently building a quail call back pen.. but I am having trouble finding quail.. I currently live in the Kansas City metro area on the kansas side. I would need 10 to 12 at a time.. I will not need them until the first part of june.. when I get my new pup. Any info would be great.

Thanks

Elite Gamebirds - Richard Johnson - 785-383-4034. They are just south of Topeka, he has about 3000 quail left. They are great fliers.

I can vouch for Richard's birds, they are nice and he always has some available. Maybe something a little closer around Valley Falls at www.countryhunts.com, Don should have birds and there always good ones. I will have some ready in about 4 weeks, but I am further away than Richard or Don.

KC craigslist has some day olds listed in farm and garden section. Price is a little steep though ($1.50 each).
